Things to Do

Phoenix and Scottsdale may have lost some of their original western character over the past few years  but it has been replaced by a more vibrant and cosmopolitan atmosphere.  You can still find good places that give an authentic flavor of the "Old West" but now they exist side-by-side with upscale shopping and top-class restaurants.  Each month we will present a small selection of things that you might like to see or do while you are in the area.

Dining: True Food Kitchen

Attractions: Musical Instrument Museum

Activities: Golf

True Food Kitchen is a health-driven, seasonal restaurant merging nutrient-rich ingredients with a flavor-forward menu that rotates regularly to let guests experience great-tasting ingredients at the peak of their freshness. True Food Kitchen is based on the idea that food should make you feel better – not worse – and that you shouldn’t have to sacrifice taste to live a healthier lifestyle.

MIM displays more than 6,500 instruments collected from around 200 of the world’s countries and territories. Most displays are enhanced by state-of-the-art audio and video technologies that allow guests to see the instruments, hear their sounds, and observe them being played in their original contexts—performances that are often as spectacular as the instruments themselves. Also, all guests are invited to play instruments from around the world in the Experience Gallery.

Golf is synonymous with Scottsdale . It has some of the most spectacularly beautiful and challenging courses you could wish for.  Many courses are private but some have a more welcoming posture towards visitors. There are many resort-style communities in Scottsdale with their own golf courses.
